I had an amazing day this past weekend with my friend tyler. It started out with me waking up very early as usual on weekends. I was very tired and tyler called me very early because he was wondering if I wanted to do something. We then decided to go to Lifetime fitness to do a little workout. This was the second time I had gone there and I think it is very well put together. I wanted to shoot basketball because it was a while since the last time I did. So we shot for a while but then this junior comes up to us and asks, “You two want to play a game of 21?”

We said sure after thinking it was going to be an easy game. We were mistaken. This kid was actually good and I was up in the game for a while but somehow he pulled ahead of me. Tyler was in last the whole time and I chuckled a little bit but I wasn’t doing that well either so I couldn’t say anything. Finally the game ended and we both lost but not too badly. And since I hadn’t played in a while, I was happy with my efforts.

After our rigorous game of basketball, Tyler and I both decided it was time to go in the pool for a while. The pool was cold at first but it was also very refreshing. I enjoyed swimming a few laps but then my ankle started hurting because I broke it earlier in the year playing football. When we were finished swimming, we went to the sauna to warm up a bit. It was very hot and we were sweating like crazy so we checked the temperature and it was 163 degrees!! We didn’t believe it was that hot though.

After we had enough of the sauna, we went into the mushroom pool to wade a little before I had to be home for dinner. I was going to Ledo’s with my family so I had to be home by six. Tyler started to stare down some little girl and she freaked out and ran to her mother. I found it pretty funny. So everybody went home and we met up again at Ledo’s. The food was amazing and we ate a lot.

So everyone went home and since it was a Saturday, Tyler was wondering if I could sleep over at his house. We rented Paranormal Activity and Con Air to watch. Both movies were very interesting but we then wanted to go ding dong ditching. We both did one house since it was freezing cold outside. It was a fun night and I hope we can do it again this weekend.

I am intrigued that he would think I was up to no good. Yet I sit here in the computer lab with a pencil on my ear writing about my English class problems. Mr. McDunkin also thought I put my golden line upside down on purpose! Now why would I do that??? He perceives me as a bad kid now probably. And somebody please tell me who is making those weird noises in class!

This is my third year taking guitar and my teacher recommended me for the advanced class as a Freshman. At first I was nervous because I was expecting it to be the most difficult class I would take this year. To my amazement though, the class seems to be very easy and fun! I enjoy going there every A day. The work isn’t hard at all and we play some pretty challenging pieces. I feel bad for my one friend though because he was in my class last year and he was pretty good at guitar but now he isn’t taking it anymore. He had some talent and I don’t understand why he would waste it after two years. But I am now taking guitar throughout all of high school because it doesn’t require a lot of work however the work is challanging. I can’t wait until he gives me new music to play.

This past week has been very hectec in many ways. I haven’t had any time to spend with my friends what so ever. With all my homework, projects, and sports it makes life very hard. Waking up at five o clock in the morning every day for basketball too has been a big drag on me especially later on in the day. Since I can’t eat in my classes I have to bring extra food to eat at lunch and I almost always doze off in my third and seventh block classes. I sometimes feel like I’m letting people down too because I don’t have any energy to do or remember anything. Hopefully it will get better soon.

My vacation to New Jersey was a very fun trip because I visit my cousins there for the entire Thanksgiving break. We usually do a lot of fun things like playing ping pong, playing our annual “turkey bowl”, bowling, and watching movies! Bowling was a blast but I started off slow so I was getting pretty angry. To my surprise, I bowled a score of 100 but the next game I picked it up to 121! Ping pong was also loads of fun because I dominated everybody I played in singles and in doubles. For some reason, we didn’t play football this year. Maybe its because everyone is getting older and it’s harder for them to play. The movie we saw was the The Blind Side and it was very good. I enjoyed spending time with my family in New Jersey and I can’t wait until I get to spend some more time with them during Christmas Break!

Spending the night over at a friend’s house can be very fun but it will also create some trouble. I spent the night at my friend’s house this past Friday with Tyler, Matt, Michael, and Kyle . Of course we got there for dinner so we ordered boxes and boxes of large, mouth-watering pepperoni pizza. We all gobbled it down so fast almost as if we had not eaten in weeks.

After finishing the pizza, we went to the XBOX to seek some entertainment. We were playing Rock Band and I was on the drums, while Kyle was singing, Matt was on the guitar, and Michael was on the bass. I have to say that I produced a pretty steady beat while playing on expert. You can even ask any of the guys if you don’t believe me.

Kyle also did a decent job singing. The others…..not so much hahah. We also tried to sneak out that night but it didn’t work so we went to bed. That night was so much fun and I’m hopeful that we all will be able to sneak out while being more stealthy. ( Our plan was to go to McDonald’s ) I mean who doesn’t love McDonald’s???

The funniest thing ever just happened! My day started out pretty normal with me getting off the bus and walking with my friends. We ended up with our girlfriends where we talked and hugged until the first tardy bell rang. We walked to class as usual and sat down in our seats. All of a sudden, the fire alarm went off! Of course there were some screams and jumping because it was very unexpected, but we managed to line up to go outside.

My friend Tyler dared me to slide down the railing on the stairs as we made our way and I performed the task. However, this wasn’t the funny thing that happened. My friend, who always instigates me, bothered me the whole way there. We decided to get revenge on him so we figured out his weakness. We tried to get him to talk to girls because he gets very shy when he is their presence. We tried to get him to have a thorough conversation with them but he failed to do that and we started laughing.

I know it was a mean thing to do but it worked so we will keep doing the same thing if he intends to bother me again. This was hilarious because he is the person that usually gets under my skin but now it was the other way around. He told me he wasn’t going to talk to me for the rest of the day but I didn’t believe him. Although he’s not in any of my classes, I still have him in my lunch period. I really enjoyed bothering him because now he knows how it feels when he’s bothering me. I’m not going to this as a habit now, but every once in a while I’ll mess with him again just to get a good laugh.

An important lesson came out of this situation, don’t bother someone until you know how it feels to be bothered. I’m hoping that later on this year, my friend will learn not to bother me as much as he wants to. However, I don’t want him to be embarrassed too badly, or it won’t be fun anymore.
